The Lost Key of The West

What we've lost along the way to power...

We've all read biographies or historical records at some point, of the ties between tribal kin in Native American groups, the familiarity and fondness among the communities of the first Europeans in America, and even the closeness between neighbors in the early 1900's here. So...

How did we get to this point? No one is hanging out on their porch with their neighbors or running over to ask for an egg or to give a surprise meal, we hardly know our neighbors. School shootings, toddlers diagnosed with depression and... getting kidney stones? Everyone is clinically labeled with a different way of thinking that impedes their ability to fit into society, parents committing suicide left and right, almost no one has money to afford food, let alone healthy food for their families... people don't have time for people. And this society has tricked us into thinking we are the problem. Isolated in our own little (sometimes massive) homes, we are convinced that the next new study, new medicine, new technology is going to save our health on every level from this catastrophic decline.

But the problem is not us, its that there is no "us". â€‹

It's that consumerism, spurred on by out-of-this-world amounts of money put into advertising for mega companies, that convinced generations that materials would save us... and be better than any passed-down knowledge or reliance on each other. A contrived effort to make people into money-making and buying machines, convinced that if they didn't have the latest technology, they were behind in society... and not giving their children a good life.

Honestly, parents are completely losing their minds taking care of kids in the current structure of our society (us included). Because the companies or people with the most resources will always "win", they will continue to dictate our society in favor of a hyperproductive labor force and economy, with only short-term goals in mind. Leaving the families of the U.S., chronically ill and deprived of community, just barely making it by, trying their hardest to give their kids the best there is, which can only be (barely) given as money at this point. We have time for almost nothing else.

We were not made to live this way. We all feel it- grinding against our natural instincts, desires, and capacities. The health of current and future Western families is not being considered by the people most determining our society, so we need to take it back at a grass-roots level. Adults need other adults. Kids need other kids. Not in a hyper-controlled place like public school. In a natural setting where free social interaction can take place and children can choose to engage or leave at their own will, easily walking to other kids or simply walking back home.

It starts with finding your people and committing (hardcore). Buying land together, building together, sharing commodities, and maybe even schooling. Having each other to lean on, completely trust. I mean... just read the "Vision" page. We CAN'T do this alone because we weren't meant to. No society ever thrived when the secret game was to divide and conquer.
